The Ladies Silver Trophy team, having battled through to the quarter final, succumbed to a close fought 3 -2 defeat.
Playing Warley Park at neutral course Romford, the Ladies had high hopes going into the match.
Due to the past extremely hot weather and lack of rain, the Romford course, like many, had suffered and then with the recent heavy rainfall, the condition of the fairways made playing quite difficult because of varying grass growth. Saying that, the greens staff had done a tremendous job in trying to bring it round.

Unfortunately, we were not successful and had to be content with coming a respectable second against a very worthy Warley Park. Better luck next year girls.

With thanks to this year’s team, Bev T with her caddy, Jill, our Ladies Captain, who has supported every one of our matches this year, Jo with her caddy Roz, Clare who caddied for Katie, Bev E with her caddy Liz, Tracey whose caddy was husband Tim who was too shy to be in the line up and Janet, Team Captain.

Looking forward already for next year when hopefully we will go all the way to the final.
