Many congratulations to the Ladies bronze team on their excellent away win against Potters Five Lakes.
The sun shone and the course was in good condition. The greens were slower than they had been on our practice round, but nothing was going to put these girls off their game.
The first win was a magnificent 6/5 for Catriona, followed quickly by 4/3 for Melissa. Liz made short work of her match by winning 6/4. Clare, however, had not been to Five Lakes before so made sure she saw the whole course before pulling out her best game to make an exciting winning par on the 18th. That left Lesley, who didn’t let us down and came in with a 3/1 win to make it 5/0 to Stoke.
So, very well played ladies (and caddies). Just one more league match to go – Frinton at home on Saturday June 7. Good luck.
