The Lady Vets braved the heat this week to compete for the Hilda Rule Rose Bowl. This is an 18-hole Strokeplay competition and this year was played on the Gainsborough course.
The field was severely reduced due to the heat expected that day and, understandably, a lot of our Ladies decided to be sensible and stay at home!
In many cases, for those Ladies that chose to suffer in the extreme humidity, it all came down to whether you had favourable bounces as to how good your net score was!
The winner of the trophy was Barby Jones with a nett score of 73. She was closely followed by Jill Pottle with a net 74 and Sue Gregory was 3rd with a net 80.
Barby putted like a pro, hardly missing anything, and deserved her win.
