We’re pleased to announce that the Constable Course will open again tomorrow, Tuesday 27th February as normal.
The Gainsborough Course will remain closed until later in the week to facilitate Greens Maintenance. We envisage both courses being open for play by the weekend.
Whilst a substantial amount of rain has somewhat limited our ability for excessive maintenance work, we have been able to work through the following over the last 10 days or so.
1. All renovated bunkers are now lined and ready for final prep work before being filled
2. Verti-draining of driest fairways for aeration
3. Area around 10 Gainsborough and Half Way Hut being prepared for concrete path
4. Gainsborough Greens Maintenance targeting deeper thatch levels as per our R&A supported agronomy plan
When ground conditions finally allow, we’re keen to get as many areas as possible freshly cut ready for the return in play.
Finally, we want to reaffirm our thanks to our members who’ve been so patient throughout the closure. We understand the desire to play, but welcome the support in making the tough decision to close the golf courses in the first instance.
Here’s to a hopefully drier spring and summer 2024.
