With the weather claiming the January Stableford, the first Seniors competition of the year was the February Fourball Betterball.

And with the courses gradually drying out (apart from the usual swampy spots) there was some pretty high scoring out on the Gainsborough.

Winners on the day were Mike Clare (no stranger to the winner’s podium) and Reg Reid with a fantastic score of 47 points – made up of 1 birdie, 12 pars and four bogeys for a gross 75 between them.

Second on 45 were Colin Dallas and Allen Brown, and third on countback, also with 45, were Toby Butcher and Peter Garnett.
