On a cold, windy but bright morning, the Jubilee Cup team headed to Nazeing for their first match of the season.
Playing off winter mats and tees, the home club had a distinct advantage with much firmer and quicker greens than the Stoke boys had been used to playing on recently.
Stoke won the first two matches with victories for Richard Bland and Trevor Warren, but after that, Mike Tuck was the only other winner on the day with a resounding score.
The Nazeing team played some very steady par golf and were deserved winners on the day. Match result 6 – 3
