After some fantastic opening away victories for the Jubilee and Thornton Cup teams, the Leslie wood squad had their work cut out welcoming Forrester Park GC in the first round.
A well battled morning left Stoke with a 3 – 2 lead after the foursomes but with plenty of work to do in the afternoon.
As the weather turned cold and windy, the guys dug in and managed to secure 6½ points to bring home the win. A super performance from everyone and a great (but cold) watch.
