The first of our 2025 social events was more than just a fun night out.
Learning the basics of first aid could be a life saver and, for the 38 people who attended last week’s introductory session, it was a real eye opener.
Hosted by one of our Ladies Section members – Anita Sparrow – who is a qualified First Aid Instructor, members got hands on with a number of first aid techniques
Among other things, the group learned how to administer CPR, how to use a defibrillator and how to put patients into the recovery position.
There was no charge for attending, but a collection on the night raised more than £200.for charity.
