Our second-round match in the Jubilee Cup, saw a home tie against Harwich and Parkstone played on the Constable course.
The format of 6 singles and 3 pairs saw Stoke sharing the spoils in the singles with wins for Trevor Warren, Ian Thompson and Ian Ryder.
With Keith Hodgson and Nick Mayle winning the first of the pairs, it all came down to the last match but, despite a great fightback from the pairing of Steve Martin and Simon Hickey, it was not enough, eventually losing one down on the 18th
Final score Stoke by Nayland 4 Harwich 5
Many thanks to all the players who participated and to Steve Hale who captained the team in Ian Smiths absence.
