Finally this summer, perfect weather for a Stoke by Nayland competition!
Almost 90 players took part in Captain’s Day, played on the Gainsborough course in great condition.
After registration and collection of the Captain’s gift and goody bags, players had bacon rolls and coffee prior to the shotgun start.
The format for the day was better ball Stableford for holes 1-6; aggregate Stableford for holes 7-12 and, for holes 13-18, the perennial favourite, Australian Stableford. – multiplication of scores where a blob means no score for either player.
Captain Norman Davidson and wife Elaine toured the course in a drinks buggy and were delighted to see that a good time was had by all.
Thanks go to Elaine, Harry Hibbert, Corinne Jackson and the catering staff for their help on the day. And thanks to Audi Ipswich for providing the nearest the pin prizes
