As I approach my 67th birthday, I am embarking on a personal challenge on June 20, when I plan to play 67 holes of golf at Stoke by Nayland.
From the green tees, I will walk and play every hole, covering an estimated distance of 22,450 yards, equivalent to 12.75 miles, I estimate it will take me 13-14 hours to complete.
There’s no guarantee that my body will easily endure this endeavour. However, I am resolute in my determination and I am fully committed to seeing it through. I will have fellow senior golfers with me on each round to offer support motivation and to keep me going.
The event is not just about personal achievement; it is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in support of Parkinson’s UK – my chosen charity for the year. By contributing to this cause through JustGiving, you are directly aiding in the advancement of vital research and support for those affected by Parkinson’s. Your generosity will play a pivotal role in driving progress and making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals battling this condition.
Thank you for your support, here is the link to my JustGiving page.
