On a cold, damp and gloomy Easter Monday, 18 pairs gathered on the Gainsborough course to compete for the first of this season’s Mixed trophies.

The format was American Greensomes which often results in players finding their next shot being taken from very unfamiliar spots around the course!

In a very high scoring event, the winners of the Peter Blewitt Trophy were Janet and Vernon Bettle with a tremendous score of 45 points.

Paired up in 2nd place were our current Ladies and Men’s Captains Jill Pottle and Matt Tunstall with 42 points.

In 3rd place on countback, with four teams tied on 41 points, were Sue and Stuart Gregory.

Competitors met up in the Sports Bar after their round to congratulate the winners who were presented with their Trophy by Ladies Captain Jill Pottle.
