The Ladies Silver Trophy team had a tough match against Chelmsford in very windy conditions.
The score overall was a defeat by 3.5 to 1.5 which left the Ladies feeling a bit deflated.
But, as we have seen several times already this season, that was not the end of the drama.
Two days after the match, we were informed by the Essex Silver Trophy and Silver Shield organiser, Sally Newman-Russell, that we had been awarded the match because Chelmsford had fielded an ineligible player.

This just goes to show that it is each players responsibility to ensure they have the correct criteria to enable them to play in County competitions.
