With thunderstorms predicted, the Ladies Bronze team feared the worst in their final league match at home to Frinton.
But despite frustratingly slow rounds in the middle of Saturday golf, the dark clouds threatened but never delivered.
Unlike the Ladies who recorded a 4-1 win to put them top of their league and qualify for the quarter final.
The quarter final will be played on July 7, but as yet we don’t know our opponents or venue.
