Hot stuff from Erika to become new Ladies champion

On what was probably the hottest weekend of the year, the Ladies staged their 36 hole Club Championship.

But the scorching temperatures didn’t stop new Club Champion Erika Dean from turning in two blistering rounds. Playing off a handicap of 7, Erika scored a gross 78 in each of the rounds for a total of 156 – 13 shots clear of her nearest challenger.

23 ladies took part, playing the Gainsborough Course on Saturday and Constable course on Sunday.

The fairways and greens were incredibly fast due to the hot dry weather.
