30 teams participated in a Stableford format (best 3 from 4). 08.30am shotgun start on the Gainsborough which was a bit chilly! Weather stayed fine but was cold and windy throughout.
Once everyone was back in quite a few players took advantage of the Chef’s Special of a hearty Irish Stew washed down with a pint or two of Guinness.
Prizes were presented by Men’s and Ladies Captain’s Matt Tunstall and Jill Pottle.
Winners were Ethan Driscoll, Toby Smith, Ross Stenton and Brian Marigold with 122 points. Their great score was boosted by Brian’s Hole in One on the 3rd for which he earned 4 points!! Brian followed tradition by buying drinks for everyone in the clubhouse afterwards to celebrate this special feat. Our very own SbN Leprechaun, Ladies Captain Jill Pottle, acted as waitress to collect orders and serve the drinks.
2nd place – Colin Pottle, Kevin Jones, Mike Webley and Steve Tree with 114 points.
3rd place – Elaine Davidson, Liz Kiddy, Norman Davidson and Toby Butcher with 113 points.
4th place – Jill Pottle, Katie Clark, Bev Thompson and Melissa Halfhide with 111 points
